Abel Hernandez

Mr. Hernandez is one of our upcoming architectural designers, adding to our multi-faced staff. Since joining Chapman Harvey Architects in January 2007, Abel has been involved with the design and development of a variety of construction types and has been an integral part of the firm's success. As a Project Manager, his portfolio includes such projects as Mason ISD - Addition/Renovation, Grape Creek ISD - Middle School Cafeteria, Schleicher County ISD - Middle School Gym and the Verrado Estates - Club House.

Mr. Hernandez takes a very collaborative and hands-on design approach, believing the best ideas and design solutions always come from establishing great communication between the Owner and the various team members. He is versatile and adept in both drafting and graphic design, and is involved in all phases of the production of architectural projects with the office. His skills, combined with his strong motivation and passion for learning, allow him to take on a variety of tasks and projects. Over the last few years, his work has focused on the firm's educational and commercial projects. Currently he is leading the renovation of the Fields Building - a multi-story commercial office building in Lubbock, Texas.

Abel is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he received his degree in Architecture. He is currently working towards his professional licensure as an architect in the state of Texas.
